Choosing cheap plastic templates often means dealing with flimsy edges that tear halfway through your project, whereas premium kits provide the structural integrity you need for clean lines. I have carefully compared these options by analyzing buyer feedback and spec sheets. In my view, skipping the bargain bin saves you hours of carving frustration. Let us break down how these six stencil sets actually rank for your Halloween setup.

This package earned its strong ranking through sheer variety and volume, giving you dozens of choices without breaking the bank. I think the massive selection makes it a smart grab if you are decorating multiple pumpkins for a neighborhood party.
You get thirty-six distinct templates, but keep in mind that the thin plastic requires careful taping to stay secure while you trace.

An unexpected feature of this set is its multi-surface flexibility, allowing you to move from gourds to wood panels and walls with ease. I consider this versatility a major bonus if your decorating plans extend beyond the front porch.
You only receive sixteen pieces, so your creative options are somewhat limited compared to larger bundle packs.

The most common complaint about this kit is the small number of included patterns, but I think the all-in-one hardware outweighs that minor drawback. You get reliable saws alongside the templates, meaning you can start carving immediately without hunting for extra tools.
This balanced combination of implements and guides makes it my top recommendation for a seamless carving session.

5. Augshy 56 Pack Small Halloween Pumpkin Stencils for Painting Crafts
Stepping down from our top pick, this massive collection focuses on miniature craft scales rather than standard carving tools. I would point you toward this set if you plan on decorating tiny gourds instead of traditional large pumpkins.
The tiny size limits your ability to use standard carving saws, so you will likely rely entirely on paint or markers.
Users find the small templates perfect for miniature gourds.
Buyers highlight the huge quantity of distinct patterns.
Reviewers caution that painting works better than carving with these tiny shapes.

This product built its solid reputation on offering versatile holiday templates that handle both paint and carving markers equally well. I believe that dual-purpose appeal holds up nicely in practice, giving you plenty of creative freedom.
The six-inch dimensions can feel a bit restrictive if you happen to pick up an unusually large pumpkin from the patch.
Customers enjoy the mix of carving and painting utility.

Choosing Between Them
I strongly recommend choosing the Pumpkin Masters carving kit because it includes essential tools alongside templates, giving you everything required for a successful holiday project. If you need specialized alternatives, the large bundle packs suit bulk design options, while the smaller templates work best for miniature craft scales.
You should note that most options on this list lack specific Netflix licensing for authentic Hawkins designs, meaning you will not find official Stranger Things iconography in these generic packs.
